What one fight, moment or accomplishment do you consider the highlight of your AH career?
Had some epic fights, but my shining triumph of tardage was getting 300 kills in the TBM in one tour.
Dunno if i could pick one. and there is a bunch I probably wont remember being put on the spot but I've had a bunch of individual memorable pleasurable moments that stand out.
I had a legitimate 20 kill flight once. albeit I had to re arm a couple times.m I have the film some where I just dont remember what I named it.
One time in a 109F and at a disadvantage I was in a 4 V1 and made all 4 auger.
Another time in AH1 I was in a panzer with another panzer wayyyy in the distance coming down a hill. He just looked like a dot. I used max elevation to the point I couldnt even see who I was shooting at and best guess and killed him 1 shot.
Single handed defending a maproom in a wirble for over an hour in AH2
Killing 9999999999 PT boats about 20 times in an LVT while he kept shooting torpedoes at me.
Killing a CV from 20K in a Stuka after nosing down at 25K.
Killed 3 on 1 rope a year or so ago. All three followed me up and all three were hung out to dry one right after the other on my way back down
Running into the side of a mountain while leading a squad on a mission. So loyal to me were they that they all followed suit.
Shot down 2 B-17's that were much higher then me with rockets from a typhoon
But the thing I've probably felt satisfied and enjoyed the most was when I was with the Pale Riders and we mastered the art of formation flying which is infinitely more interesting then taking part in a conga line.
We had people compliment us and some even thought we were bomber formations at a distance. makes for a nice little trap
