Shade Cheaters Please Fix
« on: October 12, 2016, 09:47:02 PM »
As you all know I formed a squad known as the Shade Hunters try to combat the those using second accounts to bring an unfair advantage.
Our squad was holding out for AHIII thinking fixes would come. But now using a shade account on AHIII you can also track players on the ground.
There is a consensuses when we catch people in AHIII using a shade to cheat, that paying for two or more accounts has saved the game $.
I have a list of 12 account names that are no longer playing AH due to this new exposure. I am wondering if others have seen their squad numbers drop as I have.

Fixes that I think will work:

Make it so only squad members can see squad members on the map, otherwise you get to see radar bars and need to use radio comms between players and squads.
This would also work for missions where everyone in mission could see all players in mission.

We should remove the tank players and positions all together. There is no radar for that anyway. (This worked just find on AHII).

This is a last ditch attempt for me to see if we can get some people back into playing.
Over all I think the new game is better with the exception of the new shade abilities.
I am thinking it would be more fun to be more like WWII conditions. And yes they had spies but those spies didn't have that much real time info.  :salute

Let's lets get some feed back on this one.

You're saying you forced 12 people to quit the game?

You know accusations should only go directly to HTC and not be posted on the BB.

If I was making accusations there would be player call signs listed here. This is more of a open discussion.
As a business man I see this a an open discussion with fixes that will bring in more money for HTC in the long run.
We are not trying to catch or shame anyone here.

You didn't answer the question. Did you harass 12 people until they quit?

No they were all squad members of 335th. I was not answering you because I didn't think your response was a serious reply to the post. Maybe it was your wording. I am looking for serious adult responses if possible.

I read your statement as exposing 12 people but you mean 12 people quit because somebody can see where they are and might try to attack them.

It's still not a topic for the forum. If you have a problem with a player's behavior, contact HTC, do not post it on the BB.

There is a consensuses when we catch people in AHIII using a shade...

I seriously doubt you have "caught" people as you think, simply because you accuse almost every player on every other side of this.  Someone checks a flashing base and kills one of your M3's -- you level this accusation on 200.  Someone ups to defend a base with the town white-flagged, you accuse them of having a second account.  Someone shoots you down -- you accuse them of cheating on 200.

Every night it's the same thing -- you accusing people of things on 200.  You've accused me openly on 200 many times, mostly for ridiculous things like upping at a flashing base.  Frankly, I am sick of it.    If you have a legitimate complaint, take it directly to HTC: support@hitechcreations.com  They have my permission to tell you how many AH accounts I have ever had, because it's only ever been ONE.

What you fail to recognize is that your own continuous false public accusations every night in game do far more to undermine the game than what you claim above.

In an effort to actually help you:  I will tell you the real problem is that your tactics are always the same and they have become very predictable. Where you attack is predictable.  When you will attack is predictable.  How you will attack is predictable.  If I encounter one of your squadmates at a base, I know exactly what's going on and who is doing what.  I know who is in what aircraft/vehicle and what they are doing. If your first M3 gets killed, you'll bring another and run the troops long (the old troop drop and bail method).  I know your squad tactics so well, I could teach them to new members for you.  I'm certain I am not alone in this. People don't need shade accounts to know what you're doing or going to do, because we've all seen it hundreds of times before.

Maybe it's time to try some new tactics or approaches to the game.  Try flying different aircraft.  Try focusing on base-defense occasionally (arguably a more challenging aspect of the game).  Learn how to shoot with the 88, so you will stop accusing me of cheating every time I kill you with it...  :D  Try anything new.

I think these suggestions will serve you much better than your post here.

Shades are a myth :old:
Really..... what are those then?

England, that is a myth. Just a conspiracy of cartographers.

I heard that SFox got 50 shades of gray banned from the game.
... now that I think of it, "50 shades of gray" is a good name for a squadron.

I will admit we have falsely accused people over the last few years. With as many false accusations we have also had mostly real shade cheaters as well. For those falsely accused I am very sorry for the harm done. Exposing the cheating does make the cheating worse, because more are aware of the issue.
I had a player admit last night that they had two accounts and was wondering how I could get GVs back to the city so fast. I didn't tell him about the hill from the spawn point that allow tank speed to reach 230 MPH, or the tree at the bottom that stopped the 230 mph tank. But the fact is they knew I was flying a plane without a kill or death and knew I was also back in a tank at the city quickly.
The point was he was using the second account to resup the city when I was flying and grabbed a plane when I was in a GV.
Bombing was easy for him because of quick location knowing where to look for me.
This lack of mystery in the game takes a lot fun out of it. I think mystery in the game makes it better.
As far as second accounts I think they could continue with less information available for those using them. Meaning HTC could maintain second account revenue and see if the changes bring back players that no longer play.
I see limited in country information as a win win for everyone encouraging players to work together to win the maps.
Like all of you I only want to see HTC beat the Russian's at the on line combat flight sim gaming world.  Aces High stands out because it is a full war sim, while it is the best flight sim at the same time. taking maps gives meaning to the full war concept. Using a shade account makes time wasted playing the game feel like time wasted on a whole not so new level. Yes I would say even more meaningless.
While aces high is the best in my option I would like to see 800 player arenas full once again as in the past.

Well if they do lock this thread, just know that I am very loyal and longtime customer of HTC.  And this is my first ever, and I only post when I believe there is merit with the purpose of making the game better.

All you do is harass people like Kingpin described.  I have seen you harass new players just because you don't recognize their handle.  I wonder how many new player's you've chased from the game?  I'm sure that it's more than the number of so-called shades you've caught.

You've accused me and others for years of using a shade account, every time I shoot you down you've accused me of using one.  The last time was just last week when I was bombing a V base and noticed a Lancaster parked on the small runway so I vulched it.  The funny thing is that after I vulched your Lancaster, I said on country channel that you're going to accuse me of using a shade account and you didn't disappoint.

You are also a hypocrite as you've admitted to using a shade account (and others in your squadron) yourself to hunt and track players that you think are using one.  But you claim it's okay in your case to use a shade account.

It's not the "shade accounts" that are ruining this game and potentially making players leave, it's you and the actions of your squadron that continue to berate people that you think are using a shade account.
