HiTech, is the AH3 app in Oculus different from the main one? I've tried 3 times to DL it and it gets to around 120 mgb and says internet connection lost. It isn't really, I can still navigate anywhere on the net. Ideas?

It is exactly the same But just wanted some launch testing.

I got it downloaded and installed, actually did it with the Rift off and just on desktop. I haven't logged in yet.

The Emagin Z800 I first used with AH cost us$1800 for a lot less capable product than the Rift.

The HDK2 is half the price of the Rift and Vive.

Im glad you have the pockets for it, either that or you're insanely stupid. Most people will never be willing to shell out that kind of money for it.

With its current price tag it will never sell big to the masses no matter how good or capable it is. It is only worth what people are willing to spend on it. Which wont be $600
Get that price point to around $100-$150 and you will have a big seller. More then that and they will largely simply take up space on storage shelves

Price point is still too high to be successful.

I suspect this will go like most technologies. remember when VHS's, CD players, DVD players and the cheapest big screen TVs first came out they were all over $1K each?

They didnt start really selling till they reached a price point low enough that anyone could afford them.

HiTech, congratulations for adding the most immersive element to the game yet. Waking up from a pilot wound blackout in a VR headset is very disorienting, and very nauseating. It's the view moving around as you wake up, but you haven't actually moved your head.

Given the propensity for pilot wounds in the P38, that I fly most often, I'm thinking I need to keep a barf bag nearby.

By the way, how is the VR setting "Center Single Touch" suppose to work? Touch what exactly?

I need to update the VR config dialog. Some of the items are not in use.

Over on IRACING of the 65,000 sim races about 20% is now running VR. But these are players who are willing to drop over a $1000 on just their wheel. To them $600 isn't so bad....
