interesting things
« on: October 15, 2016, 07:53:11 AM »
I don't want to turn this into a public pissing match, but I noticed a few things about the logs.

1. allies numbers were a little low. by T+90 there were only about 8 in flight. side numbers seemed a little skewed again, but not by much.

2. the LTG seems to have people on both the axis and  allied sides. now I have no problem with that sort of thing, but
if they have to help out the other side, I think that we should get people from the larger squads to do it,
not a small squad like the LTG. try to keep the small squads in tact, if you will.

now if the LTG split and I didn't know it, my apologies for butting in where I don't belong.

I too noticed this morning that LTG was on both sides, had no clue they had been split, or were even sent orders.   Like you not sure the status there.

G3 had 5 of the 8 flying at around T+90, when we checked the numbers, it was a no brainer.    We simply reversed course, landed, and towered.   Going anywhere was pointless.

Starting numbers had the allies low by 20 or so, I think a couple squads need to readjust their numbers, seems more than a couple are consistently low, which can make for some tough planning.

I may be wrong, but I highly doubt the Admin would split a squad between both sides. He might move a squad, but not split one. Sounds like perhaps some squad members didn't pay attention to what side they were on in the arena.

Some of the problems might stem from last week's FSO when we all had to remake our squads.  Two of the AKs wound up in two separate squads because they were not here last week.

That would make the most sense to me.  It's not like we have not had squad issues before stemming from being in another squad for a different event.

Remember, that the squad rosters were placed into the wrong arenas. I guys on my roster because they flew in scenarios with me. I booted a few out just before launch, but did not get all of them. The only true LTG members flew Axis.

Having squad members on both sides is extremely rare and is really s non-issue in FSO as there is no reason it would be done other than an honest mistake by a new player. I would not worry about it.

I can second this, we had our 4 guys and that was it, (we have lost many since i have come in to LTG) mabe its me :(
It was simply a mistake by the players who left to not change squads properly. And well devil did boot who he saw when he could/did. Also he has been a busy boy (devil) in RL lately.

I truly appreciate that this is being brought up and is being resolved within the community by the squad leadership.

As a set up CM, I have no issue with the honest mistake.  And of course is the case here.  With teh switch from AH2 to AH3 we are dealing with the minor hiccups that go along with it.

The only thing I ask from the COs is this.  Give your squad members (your usual guys) access / permissions to send invites.  It is critical to ensure everyone is in uniform prior to launch.

Short of the few struggles we have had with the squads vanishing and having to rebuild.  I have to admit that the FSO community has stepped up to the plate and had their peeps ready at launch.  Keep up the great work!
