icon-aircraft separation

Would like for the aircraft icon to "never touch/obscure" the other aircraft.  At times it seems the aircraft is buried in the icon and you can't tell aspect/angle off....

Other times it seems aircraft is in front of the icon and obscures the icon...

Very annoying that all the beautiful new graphics are hidden, at times, behind neon signs

I dont know why this happens. Icons were always clear under the plane in AHII. Perhaps now the icon is shifted by an absolute distance instead of an angle (relative distance)?

Obviously not an issue for most.....to me it obscures what the aircraft is doing....and is a pain in the arse to try to figure out aspect before its too late.

Ah well...I'm sure someone thought it would be a great idea to have a dynamic icon which can mask or be masked while maneuvering....

Icons obscuring the aircraft are a pain for me as well, reducing their size and making them less bright hasn't really helped. In AH2 I used to win fights by anticipating the enemy's next move, now I am reacting to his last one and usually too late.

Can we get a change to the icon toggle through functionality?

So I can one button select Enemy icon off, and back on vs toggle through the options? Would solve the issue....

Also, icons are too translucent when post lighting is on.  Is that because my 750ti sucks?

I found if you disable AA in game it helps the icons stand out better, and if you go above a certain size it makes them less translucent as well...but then you get into the issue of too big (hiding) vs playability.

It's already there...  Can't remember which (old man memory), but it's either alt-s or ctrl-S cycles through icons  Off>friendly only>plane type>player

Oh I know about the icon toggle... asking for the option to JUST toggle icon off/on so you don't end up with the wierd one of like friendly only... since I don't see dots outside of icon, and then icons obscure aircraft when manueveribg... it is a source of frustration to me...
