fire looks weird
« on: October 26, 2016, 08:26:40 AM »

Why is there fire/smoke/fire/smoke?   Do fires often reignite after becoming smoke?
"Then out spake brave Horatius, the Captain of the gate:
To every man upon this earth, death cometh soon or late.
And how can man die better, than facing fearful odds.
For the ashes of his fathers and the temples of his Gods."

Actually they may well do so. At least that's what seems to happen especially at the early stages of setting fire to the stove. There's puffing flames above the firewood when the combustible gases ignite and die because of the airflow or running out of fuel.

I think the flames and smoke now are a lot better than in AH2

just don't know why the flame is white when a cv is on fire.

Wonder what it would cost players in FPS to achieve fluid jagged edged randomness like that photo versus the recycling of rendering a rounded fire object like the OP's screen shot? Both kinds of fire happened in WW2 but, not everyone has the maximum PC to run this game. Probably most are in the mid range due to real life finances. And we saw the results of sticker shock in the beta.

This is like the old joke that voters are harsher to their beer brewer if he has an outage, than their politicians after raising their taxes. Death and taxes are certain but, fun and sex is only now.
