I very much like the new flags on the fields. It is nice to able to look from tower at an airfield and see if it is white-flagged, without having to do a .dt command for the flag or town. It is also useful for finding the map-room with the more densely-packed and varied new base layouts.
However, I have seen and heard a fair amount of confusion about the new flags at Vehicle-bases and Ports, with people wondering if a Vehicle-base or Port can be captured when the flag wasn't white. I have even seen enemy and friendly M3s sitting by a flag at V-bases and Ports waiting for it turn white when the base was actually "capturable" (all auto was ack down).
My suggestion is to set the "white flag" condition if the base can be captured at that moment (regardless of type of base). In other-words, a Vehicle-base or Port flag could turn white if all auto-ack is down (meaning the base is "capturable").
I think this is more intuitive (especially for newer folks). And I think it equally would help both attackers and defenders know if the base can be captured without distracting them from the immersion of the fight by having to do a .dt command to figure it out.
Whaddya think?
