Mission to the Kurils

A local historian has started digging up some stuff (over 30 years or so) and trying to document what happened in the Aleutians after the battle of Attu during WWII, it would seem.

Here's a synopsis on the local news, with a couple cool, grainy photos a lot of you have probably not seen.

Oddly enough - given the theater it focuses on  - this is one of the better WWII histories:
