Deja, How'd you arrive at those numbers?  I did it a fewe hours before the tour ended and got a lower number for the N1K.  I think it was 12% or something similar.  

I took the overall kills, then I subtracted all the kills by bombers, GVs, chutes, gunners, and ship gunners.  Then I went over to the expanded kills and subtracted the number of kills each fighter had of bombers, GVs, gunners, and ship gunners.  

Just curious as to how you did it, and why our numbers would be so different.

The numbers are up there.. let me know what is different.  I can't tell how accurate your % is when I don't know what numbers you are working with.  Those are all of my numbers... er... HTC's numbers.

Ok, I found the piece of paper I jotted my numbers down on.  Here are my totals (this is NOT the end of tour, you are going to have a few more kills in every category I think, but not a difference of 3%).::

Total Kills: 205,896
I subtracted the kills accumulated by these units-

Chute: 1330 Kills
Gunner: 445
M3: 1324
M16: 6931
Osty: 9097
Panzer: 3184
LVT: 731
LVT: 442
Ptboat: 4080
ShipGunner: 6353

B17: 4633
Lanc: 2008
B26: 3289
Ju88: 420
C47: 328
TBM: 529
IL2: 1878
Arado: 31

After subtracting those I arrived at a total of 158,863.  This number is kills achieved by fighters.

Then I took the N1K2 total of kills, which was 23,847, and subtracted all of the kills it had on the above units.  The total "fighter kills" that the N1K2 had was then 18,785.  Then I divided 18,785 by 158,863 to arrive at a figure of 11.82% of kills.

How'd you do it?

BTW, fighter vs fighter stats are pretty self explanatory... the bomber and GV stats are as such:

Bomber Stats total vs these planes:

• Ar 234
• B-17G
• B-26B
• Gunner
• Il-2
• Ju 88
• Lancaster III

GV Stats total vs these vehicles:

• LVTA2
• LVTA4
• M-16

Ah.. there's your problem.  You are taking the N1K2 and subtracting everything but fighters (think you missed on something.. you're off by a few there) but you are not subtracting the same from the rest of the fighters and adding that total as your denominator.

Basically, you are saying that the N1K2's kills against fighters accounts to 12% of all other fighters kills against everything (plus N1K2's kills against fighters).

Ah.. I actually figured that was what I had done wrong when I was going over my little jotted notes, but I was posting in a different thread so I didn't get back over here to edit my post.  

I guess you realized already that the N1K2, SpitIX, P51D, La7, and F4U-1D had more kills than the rest of the fighters combined?  That's mindboggling to me.. I thought the MA was a little more "diverse" than that.
