Somewhat curious also, I've upgraded my PC to just short of the min-specs ( I still need the USB3.0 expansion card), and I am also wondering if it's worth the additional investment?

Any thoughts Occulus users?

Yes. It's freaking amazing and I won't fly without it every again.

It's like being IN the plane.

Also, I couldn't tell what a plane was doing in a fight with using my monitor  :old:..So I could pretty much forget fighting.

Now with the rift I can see REALLY FAR and in great detail! Huge game changer for me. I can actually put up somewhat of a fight now.  :rock

any technical issues witch setup and use? I don't have a throttle with programmable buttons, so how does one adjust to "not seeing" your keyboard etc?

My machine is like 8 years old so I had to add a USB card into it. Other than that, no real issues.
You need a free HDMI port, and two USB 3 ports open.

To type I just look down the little nose gap to locate the keyboard on my desk and put my fingers on the F and J keys and I touch type.  I do have to peek to see keypad references when calling out position on the map.

Other than that it works really pretty easily.  It has built in speakers and a mic so you don't need to worry about that either. Also you won't *need* directional hat views anymore so you can reassign those on your stick. I did keep the back view and rear quarters cause I don't like having to turn my head around a bunch to keep good sa.   It also reduces motion sickness to use some of the rear views instead of turning.

You might feel REALLY sick at first but with use, that goes away fairly quickly.

I have used the rift and the vive. The rift is better. I will not fly without it now. The wow factor is so good I enjoy just flying around even if no fights are available.

You won't need reading glasses. You mostly focus in the distance, beyond arms length. If you are also near sighted you will likely need your glasses.
