End Sortie

I wish there was a simple y/n safety on end sortie, so when you scroll the map you don't click it by accident.

I find myself inadvertently clicking the radio when scrolling the map.  Don't remember this in AH2, has something about the clipboard/mouse interaction changed?

Not sure I want a y/n for End Sortie though, the extra couple of seconds could get me vultched.   :O

Yea, maybe not for the ".ef" function, but the accidental click of the "End Sortie" button is frustrating.

Would love to have the "green end sortie" expanded to within the airfield confines vs just the runway....hate when you have a wheel in the grass and do a .ef or macro it and "you have ditched (1.5 feet from the runway edge)" pop up.

If you only had one wheel in the grass and got a ditch that's a bug.

That was a feature in AH2.

e

I probably get several ditches or deaths every time I play because of this. Extremely frustrating. I agree there needs to be some type of  confirmation.

Or perhaps change the code to make End Sortie trigger only on a Mouse Button Down event and not on Mouse Button Up or "got focus while mouse button down"?

If you manage to fight a dying plane back to the airfield, without getting shot down and you don't blatantly crash, you shouldn't get a "ditch".  You made it to the field, you should be able to have that count.

This has been discussed a million times before. HTC has to draw the line someplace as to what is a ditch and what is a good landing. They have decided that ONLY landing on the runway will give you a good landing. Any where else on the field is a ditch.

So making it to the field is not enough, the challenge is to get it all on the runway to have it count.
