Considering a comeback?
« on: November 17, 2016, 01:37:49 PM »
Hello everyone,

just checking in and I have been considering a comeback to AH.

My son has been playing Warthunder and he has convinced me into getting an account but, I just am not feeling it.  someone said it was a bunch of furballing and really gamey flight models. very arcade like IMHO.

Was wondering how the new AH III is and if there are still organized squads and mission scenarios?

how many old timers do we still have around.

I have been in several distinguished squadrons in the flight sim community and it would be great to fly with some old friends and make some new ones as well.

im pretty rusty right now but once I get a little off line practice under my belt I hope to see you up.

Regards.

AWRABBIT.

Plenty of good squads and frame 3 of Friday squad operations (FSO) is tomorrow at 10 pm CST... FSO runs 3 Fridays a month for registered squads... Come back and once u get up to speed hit up one of the FSO squads they would be glad to have you  :salute

Do it AWRABBIT!  My sons prefer War Thunder type games too, I don't get it.  Aces High has much more to offer methinks.  Hope you rejoin us!

Come on back!  Lots of good squads in game.  Many old timers still around.  A lot of people have gotten really good as well.  I can't seem to stay alive, the fights have been so active lately.  Being more of an attack guy I seem to be getting caught heavy with ord and not enough energy to get out of it. LOL

I can't speak for day time in the US.  But in the evening it isn't too hard to find a furball, or people/ squads working on base taking.  I have found defense on all sides seemingly get heavy when attacking a base.  Fights everywhere.

It's great over all. There was a scenario last month with 150 registered players. Late nights for central time zone have been very low pop with around 30 users on average but it's not too bad on a good map. Over all the game looks fantastic and you'll still tind good fights to get you hooked!

We are flying for the Knights. Still haven't seen any Damned flying yet, so not in the squad as of yet. The Damned fly FSO with the 412th FNVG.
