Slow after this new patch
« on: December 04, 2016, 12:33:41 PM »
I have a pretty fast comp, usually get about 55-59 frames most of the time. After this last patch, I have been discoing more than often, about 3 times a night the past couple of days. Doesnt count the sortie or put me back in flight. It took me like 6 minutes to download the last map, which is rare. I'm using the DX11. Never had a lot of problems before. Sometimes when I go into the ground it lags and takes a few seconds to go back to the tower. Bomber are lagging from a distance. Lot of lag in some cases. Not sure if it just didnt download right? Should I delete the old AH 2 files and folders? (Still haven't). Not sure if this others are having these issues, but I figured I'd say something here since I have no clue about computers or what's going on.

AH2 folders have nothing to do with the current game, so you can still keep them if you so wish.

As for a lengthy download time for the last patch and issues after that, you can simply download the full game and install it over the existing one to save all of your settings. Of course, just in case there's something gone badly wrong, making a backup copy of your settings folder is never a bad idea.

Sounds more like internet issue to me than game issues. Download and install PingPlotter.

Start pingplotter and you will see something like this (this is an older version I think)

In the red box (adress to trace to) type in this address 71.252.137.154

In the purple box (number of times to trace) select unlimited

In the blue box (trace delay) select 1 second

Hit the trace button and it will populate the right hand fields. If you see any red/packet loss you have some sort of internet issue. If the issue shows up in the first hop or two it could be as easy as resetting your modem and/or router. If it is further down the line, then you may have to contact your internet provider. Post a screen shot here and someone may be able to point out issue for you.

Keep in mind everyones connection should start get messed up as everyone and there brother is shopping and using up bandwidth.
