Exactly! having only 25% of player that we use to have is NOT awesome.

Once the emphasis on fighter planes, map making, and squad play start to pick up, the player base will increase again! Maps make a huge difference in this game, believe it or not.

I also think planes make a big difference. If everyone is in 190Ds and high alt fighter to be able to "extend" from any slight of trouble or bad playing, then you create an arena full of super fast planes and timid flyers. Just my opinion though.

Oh, the days of 5k or even 6k+ pilot IDs with at least one kill  or death are long gone <sigh> 

Remember when you had to hurry up to get home before early evening, when the LW arena cap kicked in? About 150 players in LWO and when you logged on just after the cap started, you had to wait for about an hour before LWB had reached 100+ players as well.
We used to be upset, but these days it sounds like paradise, doesn't it? 

Wasn't that around the time when HTC had advertisements (that didn't work) running on the History channel
