Views in 17 lb. gun?

How does one look around in the 17 lb. gun?

My pan and snap views work everywhere else: field guns, vehicles and aircraft...

...but my only view in this gun is the 'forward' gunsight view, which is zoomable.

You can rotate the gun itself left, right, up & down with your joystick or mouse. You will be looking forward only; no snap views are available.

Not sure why HTC does that with 17# but it was that way in AH2 as well.  Maybe someone knows why.

Subscribed...  I too want to know why you can't look around when in this gun, and only this gun...

the 17lbs lost the ability to look around with the great GV update in 2011. Before that, you could look around inside the tanks when being in their main gunner position. This was taken away, so that no interior has to be created with new tanks. The 17lbs is modeled like a tank turret as well (that's why you have a gunsight there), so losing the ability to look around was a (very unfortunate) side effect.

I'd have thought that a second "spotter" crew position could be added to the 17 pdr to get round this. The tanks all have several crew positions so if its using the tank code why not the 17 pdr too?
