I was wondering if HiTech has released an API or library for Aces High III to allow certain interfacing with the game or particular parts of it.
My ideas are among the lines of extracting certain information from a stream in the game, such as:
+ API event for each bullet ping received from an enemy aircraft, AAA, or GV, in real-time, and set a trigger on an embedded device to activate a DC vibrational motor for 100ms in my game chair (haptic feedback)
+ RGB LEDs in peripheral areas tof augment the war-like scenario (red, orange, and yellow light for explosions; yellow and orange for bullets; red for redout in negative Gs and reduction in ambient light in the diffused LEDs for blackout)
+ real-time instrumentational representation of platform status (lights indicate damage or loss of fuel, oil, or control surface)
Overall, this enhancing the experience and enriches the time spent with the game. It would be exhaustive to list all reasons why people play the game but I know I'm not the only one that would like to see a full-immersion experience (or partial, as that may be).
Please let me know if this exists. I'd love to share ideas and my builds for others interested and involved. I 3D print and dabble in high and low-level development and some basic EE.
Thanks!
