So I got it to be it's own task group of one. Gave it a port, laid down it's way points, ran the build then error check. Says it's missing a map room and an officers club. I know for testing offline I don't have to lay down a map room. The missing officers club, well the BB has a bridge that looks a bit like the CV bridge, ok. When you go to the hanger to select guns, you are sitting out over open water with only the clip board. But, it was in lone wolf mode following the way points I set to attack my two gunnery training task groups in bish land.
So I cannot upload to the custom terrains HOST a terrain with errors which the TE throws if I add the BB to an existing task group. But, you can choose guns for it as you saw in my screen shots. So I guess we have to wait for Hitech or Waffle to add the final component that gives you the equivalent of the hanger so you can select guns. And I wonder if the BB will have a different icon from the CV task group.
If any of you really want to do this, follow this link for the AH2 terrain editor, the instructions hold true for AH3. Use Mrmidi's tutorial to get some land and water down. Follow the instructions for putting in a task group.
http://www.hitechcreations.com/wiki/index.php/Category:Terrain_EditorThen to find the BB, under the object selection tab you check "show all objects". It is named "BB". Then find your task group and pick one of the support ships and open it's properties window. You will see the support ship is owned by the field number you gave the CV group when you followed those TE instructions. Then under the "Zone:" selection is "ID:" and a number 1-5 in "ID:". Put the BB down close to the task group with the same spacing as all the ships. In it's properties window make it owned by the CV group field number and give it the "ID:" of 6. Save and run the build. Then check it out offline.
If you want another task group to shoot at, add another one nearby in the same country as your first one. Then offline go into arena setup and turn off protect objects before you open fire.
Other wise, when Hitech or Waffle get this ready for prime time, I'll add it into my offline gunnery training terrain available from the custom terrain HOST.
