When I play team fusion atag cliffs of dover. I am able to move my head and and the view moves around. But in ah3, it is like the view is stuck in one place. Can pan around, and look up, but cannot move closer to instrument panel, or around canopy frames or seat headrest. Real annoying that I cannot look around headrest for better rear view, or move so that canopy frame does not block cons, or move head closer for closer view of instrument panel.

I have looked for track ir settings, but other than in vr, I cannot find any settings. I have tried numerous settings in track ir, but nothing changes the inability to move around in ah3.

Played ah2 some time ago with track ir, but cannot remember if I had the problem before, did not play ah2 for long.

Prior to having track ir, I was able to adjust the views and get view settings that allowed looking around the headrest using the hat switch.

I know ah is extremely limited when it comes to realism, but does it intentionally limit the track ir 6 degrees of freedom capability or is there some setting that needs to be changed?

Here it is again, I use the Track IR profiles that was delivered out of the box, never made any changes or modifyed the delivered profile and I have never had any issues or problems doing any of the things that you seem unable to do.  The only issue that I have seen in the last 10 years or so that I"ve used Track IR is when sunlight enters the room and the Tracker  is effected.  I use blackout shades to keep the room dark except for indirect lighting.

That profile works, that is the default profile that I use in the game and I've never made any changes, I've never changed anything and I've never had an issue.  People that keep tweeking the profile or deveolp their own or download a profile that someone posted on the internet, are always the ones in here having problems.  What I suggest to people is that they go to the Tracker IR web page and down redownload the delivered profiles and use them as delivered, they work, no problems.

back to the subject of trackir views.  Getting and using a good profile for AH is important.  I started with my profile I use for Battle of Stalingrad and it was horrible for AH3.  On a hunch I tried a profile for AH and the result was so much better.  So what may be good for one game might not be so good for another.

Exactly! I loved the AH default settings that were offered with TIR. I used the smooth profile. It was vastly improved though when I started adjusting out the little thing I didnt like. Now its second nature. So sure, start out with an AH default from TIR, if you dont like how one axis works, learn how to adjust it to fit your style. There are alot of tips in our forums and online. Its there if you look for it. The TIR has alot of things you can tweak to make it suit your needs, from how much secondary light sources are filtered to individual axis speeds. The best advice I could give someone, other than start out with an AH profile, is get the Track Clip Pro! Its way more accurate head tracking and less affected by secondary light sources.
