Stutters still around
« on: December 16, 2016, 05:09:48 AM »
Still experiencing studders.  Frame rates will show a steady 59-60fps but will appear as though I'm suffering a severe drop in frame rates.

I'm getting them too, along with flashes now.  Sudden brightening and darkening of areas of the screen in game.
Jim74 in game.

I have to say that the clouds are causing some headaches alright, but when it does work right it is masterful.

I hope you can get it fixed.

It's not the clouds that are causing it, at least I don't think so.  For example on the current map, I was in the center island that had a heavy cloud cover and I didn't experience any stutters at all flying in the clouds or near them.

For the most part, it happens when there is a CV in the area and I start to get the stutters, regardless if I am flying near the CV or in a GV far from the CV as the 2nd film I posted shows.

The stutters in your video are different than the cloud induced stutter and flicker. I was referring to what JesterPgh was adding.

I have that issue as well. Ports with Cvs near really stutter! The large air fields with the ack firing are almost as bad. Of coarse I do get frame rate drops in those situations, not extreme but from steady 59/60 to 55 and blip down to 46. By blip I mean really quick. I am still getting the freeze frame effect, just about every where. Mostly on DX11 as I still play with both versions. I do notice it in DX9 but nowhere near as offten as in DX11

I am not sure what "F4" does from the carrier tower view, but when I use that I got really bad stuttering. It's the same type of thing that happens if you attempt to use Sea Mode while in one of the 5" guns with AA loaded instead of HE. Even the 8" guns sometimes suffer from this making it impossible to aim, or shoot.
