I see your point. But knowing that the specifics would be decided later, I took it as a given that the A-8 would be featured in the final design - as it should be.

Agreed - all but the taking it as given part. ( I too would of course, if it's possible exclusion or restriction was not mentioned beforehand like it is )...I mean the 190A-8 is the first A/C penciled in for the axis for late war 8th vrs Luft, Yes?  It's like, "Maybe some P-51's"  :huh

And really no biggie here as I was just piggy backing Ammo's thoughts and offering mine.  I'll vote to fly what's available - but not what might be there.

Keep in mind that these couple-sentence descriptions are not the final word on the design of the scenario.  It is just a tentative starting point.  Once we pick the theme, then starts the design process.
This Yesterday?  For a February Scenario? So not likely to be a 30 day brief, prep, team build, practice etc etc etc if the event flies in a month and you haven't designed it yet.
Not criticizing, just stating what won't happen on this one. I may walk on, but nothing to plan for.

I think we'll still make it for a start in later February.  If not, though, then March.  The start date of the scenario is not at this time fixed in stone.

The winner of the vote is 40.

Now that theme is specified, next up is design process.  I will get up a starting point then create the topic for discussion of the design.

I had announced the next tour of AvA War for Jan or Feb and then you announced for February. We talked it over among the staff and decided to hold up and plan for March. I won't be able to delay because I leave town at the end of March so I must run our next tour March 4, 11 & 18.

Just letting you know I set up to avoid your Feb event even though I announce first.  :bhead

The AVA and CM Team do not coordinate schedules.
There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!

Next question is how much booze is Brooke going to buy Hitech to get him to fly in this one too.

Ahh good, the time spent on the run up to a scenario is as much a part of the events as the flight night itself.

The AVA and CM Team do not coordinate schedules.

His point is that his AvA event was scheduled based on the the proposed Scenario date to avoid a conflict. Because the scenario is being pushed back, a conflict now exists. Maybe you should coordinate with each other as a courtesy.

The AVA and SEA CM team are two separate entities and not affiliated in any way.

That's an easy position to take now, but had we acted differently I doubt it would have been appreciated by the rest of your team. 505 put it better.

Seems to me the discussion about AVA and CM scheduling is better taken to PM.  As it is, it will only prove to be a distraction from the intent of the post.
