Does not have to be a shade account it can be on of your own county men telling the other side where you are. Case in point there was a player a while back texting the position of tanks on a base, he got caught when he made the mistake of forgetting what channel he was texting on and made the text in green for all his country men to read.

There is no real reason to have Icons.. if they have to be on then only people on the vox should  be able to see them not some shade account that parks on the other country....get the picture or do I have to draw you stick people?

You guys do know this is how the Americans won the battle of the bulge right?  The Ardennes had a lot of trees...

My understanding, and have heard this alot, its because they cant just go full speed AND navigate the trees. All vehicles have brakes  :neener:   I think this problem will just fade out given time. Its pretty easy IMHO to navigate the trees. Adapt and over come! I am by no means even a mediocre tanker. If I can do it, I see no reason for pros to manage it. True, its not what you are use too, but adapting to environmental changes is a hallmark of surviving those changes

Thanks for the comments guys. I know everyone has their own opinion on this issue. I just can't believe that it hasn't been addressed. I personally just got sick and tired of it. Probably just me and my impatience. I hope the game is treating the rest of you well. With great respect. Mcadoo

Other tank sim's just make heavy woods impossible to penetrate, ie you stop, but you don't get stuck, and can back out of it.

Smaller trees/brush and  you just pass over, as it should be, but stop visual sighting, without damaging them-

Yep! Practice practice practice!  Question for ya Mano. What do you mean by "trees all the way into the ground"? Figure its a lost in translation thing?  :x Most trees do in fact go all the way to the ground HA :headscratch:

When the foliage (the leaves) are at ground level, those are the trees that GV's cannot go through period. If you spawn into the middle of CraterMA they are everywhere. You have to go around that type of tree cluster.

The tree's "hit box" is too large on the ones with the smaller branches so IRL you would think "yea sure I can drive right there and be fine" but in AH you get halfway past the tree then get stuck on the branch....doesn't make sense.

The trees are absolutely absurd. No other sim even comes close to this velcro/snare you/hang you up where you cant shoot gibberish. If you even touch those cedar saplings, or whatever they're supposed to be, they immediately ensnare you - and don't come downhill onto one of these hidden monsters, the enemy will track your struggling feeble direction reversals before you ever get loose. What is this supposed to simulate, the deep dark woods where creepy things happen? Because that is what it seems like. Give the trees good solid bounding boxes or let us drive through them. I don't see what is the big deal about needing to make them partially solid, it definitely does not increase the immersion. I've done a ton of vehicle sims, I create 3d simulator content and my kdr tends to support my assertions to at least a small extent. I don't really post here a lot, probably won't get into any big hash over it, but you really should address it, the OP is spot on.

Last night I was in a T34 running around a heavily wooded area and had no issues getting around the trees while driving in the commander position and using the twisty stick to turn

I was driving in the same area as Meatwad in a panzer and I did get stuck in a tree. I took a minute of tapping on the reverse button, but I popped out and continued on my way. No problem with trees.

People have to remember this is a new game. I feel that some players, if they were playing a racing game and had trouble making it through the turns would complain the turns are too tight instead of learning to drive.

In RL  tanks get stuck in trees so RL tankers stay away from larger trees.   AH3 models this.  Years ago I was trying out WB,  the tanks just drove thru anything, trees, buildings etc.  You could launch a tank in a direction towards an nme country,  come back later and it was still driving in that direction,  nothing stopped it except ocean.

I'd agree that they stay away from the trunk of a tree but there's branches, which proportionately speaking, would easily break....but as modeled currently they will stop a tank with a decent distance out from the trunk of the tree.

When the trees get the best of me, I find the best way to get through the trees is to fly over them in an airplane!
