Doesn't like "social media", but has over 18,000 posts on a message board...    :headscratch:

 :bolt:

This is not social media and is not trying to be passed off as such.

As you yourself have said you "dont do social media" let me clue you in a bit. Social media is a bunch of people sitting at there computer discussing, and exchanging ideas with other people across the internet. Very much like what we do here.

So you may "say" you don't do social media, but you do only in a very tight group of people as apposed to the possible large group of everybody on the internet.

So to break it to you   :P

Anyone ever think about advertising at local gun shows or historical reenactments? What about local airshows. I dont know if they would allow soliciting but, I think the crowds at these venues would actually be interested in our game.

Those types of venues would want to sell you a booth, like every other "vendor".  BTW, they charge extra for things like electrical hookups, tables, chairs, etc.

Maybe having someone run around sticking flyers under windshield wipers in the parking lot would work.

if hitech was to put this game on steam and change to a F2P model, he wouldn't be able to find enough room for the amount of people that would be playing nor the amount of money he would be making.

 - directly compete with war thunder (intelligently) and pull their sim crowd to this game

Whats a vendor spot cost? A couple grand for a weekend show? I know the WWII weekend in Reading PA draws huge crowds, thousands of people. Not only would you get lets say a couple percent of those coming through to sing up, youd get word of mouth to a bunch more. Hit a half dozen shows for the year your looking at 300-400 new players and who knows how many show up as friends tell friends.

Nobody say it was free, but would it be a better investment than 5 or 6 figures for a tv commercial?
