lost sound

In middle of game, the game sound went away with the exception
of field being attacked warning
Using dx11 ver but no sound in dx9 either
Sounds in other games is OK
Attached is dxdiag

In the game, are the sound setting all pointing to your sound card you are using? Have any other settings changed there?

Thx Fugitive... it wasn't the problem but it led me to the problem  :D
For some reason, the settings for headset were cchanged to speakers  :noid

For some reason, the settings for headset were changed to speakers

I and someone in my squad had the same problem during FSO.  We went to turn down the deafening external jet engine sounds and all game sounds went to speaker.  I still could talk to the squad on Teamspeak so I knew how to fix it quickly.
