A virtual one of course, in order to see the entire skin of an airplane.   It's one feature used in more than a few games that lets you see what item you're choosing.
Make it so you can view around the whole plane, please.

Would key press F3 work enough? It use to in AHII, haven't looked at AH3.

It would also be moderately nice if the lighting in the hangar was consistent to be able to see the skin.  Depending on time of day sometimes it's backlit, and you can barely see the skin.

If the plane was outside and centered in view.  The hangar walls get in the way and as you move around in F3, you have to simultaneously move the zoom to keep the plane in view.  It's very awkward, at best.

I'd be happy with an external view like we get on the runway - you can moved all around the plane and your eye stays point at the plane.  You can hit external view in hangar but your location is fixed up near the rafters.

I've got it!   Use that dirty little building at the end of the runways we've all run into... Put a "paint shed" marker on it!

Convergence mode--->F3--->Shift-H.

Be careful, you might get a toggle to the skin viewer app window mode and everyone forced to use the skin viewer keys to navigate. I can see guys caught in there when the launch order comes on Friday nights in FSO.
