Thanks. The film viewer isn't saving as AVI at the moment so I had to record it in Fraps which gave it some pauses and stutters.

Wow!  Bravo, Maestro!   Nicely done!

You were doing stuff that would plant me in the ground for sure.  DO you fly with Combat Trim off?   That video really shows off Cactus' bare metal 80th FS skin nicely.  It seem to look better on your system - more metallic somehow.

I never noticed this before, but I think the airshow smoke could be dialed back to about 25% of its existing diameter, and at least doubled in length...

Nice homage to Bowie as well <S>!

Glad you liked it. Nothing in the video is difficult, you just need dual throttles and some time spent learning what the aircraft wants to do when it stops flying.

I use the runway intersection on the small airfield as a reference point for flying the maneuvers so when I place the camera there to make the film I'm flying right at the camera and I can zoom straight up over it.

How do you identify that spot in the film viewer?  How do you place the camera there?

Use the arrow keys and page up/down keys to move the viewpoint for the film. Use the Set Up Camera Shot tool to save the position, use Grab All, and specify the recording time, zoom, max zoom is 5, and "world pointing" for shot type. The recording time is in seconds so a 3 minute film would be 180. You need to set duration for "ending camera".

I start recording on the runway so I just move the "camera" straight out of the cockpit to the runway intersection. F8 to pan then I pan the view back to the aircraft.

Once you save the shot you can reuse it with any film made at that field. Just open the shot first then open the film you want to use.

Btw I use manual trim and I set trim for level flight after a dive to the deck.
