If anything will make us better pilots, THIS IS IT!  You start off 1 on 1  or 2 on 2 0r 3 on 3.......and it keeps going. The great thing is the first maneuver you make (The Merge) better be better than the enemy or you are a dead duck!~ BTW - you are not just fighting the enemy but also the clock!  YES ITS TIMED!!!

TIMED :uhoh  Is it like the BETA dueling thing they had for a bit? Air spawn at 800 head to head :x How does the timed thing work into it? Ah, dont really matter, i die fast enough lol :bhead :rofl Usually :D

 :aok I think its a pretty good idea. I had some good fun in there tonight.  It would be nice though if you could still spawn on the airfield at furball lake though, unless maybe im doing something wrong :headscratch:

Yea, I had the same problem. The start is confusing. I tried it a half dozen times and I still don't know where the enemy is coming from. But every time I was at an immediate disadvantage with the con on my 6 at 400 yards. It would be more fun to me to face each other off in a merge. :old:

I really like the concept so far!! This is a good step!

I think there are some things to work out, like choosing who you want to match up against, and I think the spawn merges are little too close. The engine has barely kicked on before you merge and if you aren't paying attention the guy is already passed you. Maybe another 1000 yards back to start would be a little easier getting ready before the merge.

Now that this is set up, I think incorporating a choice of terrains to fight on and things like that would make it really exciting!

Glad to see this though, I think it goes a good way in creating quick fights.

I love the idea and concept. It's a lot like WOW challenges, you log in, select to fight, wait in que until the other slot fills and boom, fight starts. You can't run, you can't hide, it's on until the finish or the event times out.

Glad, to see HTC looking into the DA a lil harder. Like all things it could use a touch, but the only things I can think off is merge distance due to engine start sequence and the event of a third party wanting to fight. The other night there were three of us, two on side and one on the other, we could'nt all three be up at the same time.

      Increasing the merge distance would be an improvement in my opinion.

      I would also like to see the free flight option available once again.

if we can get some of these matches fully populated it will be reminiscent of SDL  (squad dueling league)   

without the ball ache of organising 2 teams to take off together,  form up and engage within a small combat area. 

Least some pilots wont run off at the wrong time to get dog food out of the trunk.    :P

Had some awesome fights in there tonight.   It needs some tweaking but overall it is a good addition.

Ya, I'm on during the day and rarely is anyone in the dueling arena  :furious
I wonder if it would be possible to have an option where one could fly h2h etc.
or just duel?
