Question about last nights frame 1
« on: February 04, 2017, 01:01:30 PM »
Just a question about last night Plane setup for the P47d11's why on Earth were the drop tanks not enabled?  When we were setting them up in the hanger even with a full tank of fuel that only gave you 1.1 hours of flight with at least 8-9 sectors to the Target and the same amount back it seems to me like this was planned out to be a one-way flight, can anyone enlighten me why drop tanks were prohibited because if you ask me it was a big planning error to not have them enabled.
Our entire Squad ran out of fuel except for one who had to fly at 120 miles an hour just to make it home and he was late.

Air start simulated that a drop tank was already used. Perfectly legitimate in my opinion. Fuel management is critical. I landed with 11 minutes left in the tank. D-11 will easily fly over two hours with fuel management. It was close at the end but the majority of my guys made it.

Same here.  Sure it was closer than I would have liked, but all of us made it except for one.

I didnt make it had 11 minutes to fly back 9 sectors.  didnt feel like spending 1 hour flying back at low speed.  spent 30 minutes defending against cons attacking our bombers.
