How much traffic do you use per month

Was talking to a colleague who is routinely going through 2 Terabytes per month. I thought we did < 400Mb, but got a mild shock at how much we are cranking through at home (and no I do not download lots of 'linux ISOs'). Most of the traffic is likely to be youtube:

Wow!

We broke 60GB, last month, and I though that was a lot.  Most of our traffic comes from Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime.

Wow!  If I had that level of traffic on my extremely capped plan (150 GB limit before extra charges) I'd be in the poor house.  My ISP recently upped my BW from 3 Mbps (usually measured 5) to 100 Mbps (usually measure 80) but kept the cap the same.  I'm thinking they dearly want me to start having the traffic levels you do.

We have 1Gbps fibre, unlimited data.

What I am observing is a generational change towards TV. We have many devices (PC's, laptops, tablets, phones). All TVs have youtube (via roku or other).

With youtube on TVs it observes what you like to watch and automagically queues up stuff for you. This is how my kids see TV now. They are really not that interested in traditional TV channels. We also run a Plex media server for movies and TV series we really like.

I'd go broke with that much data usage!  I use about 6 to 20 GB a month depending on visitors, etc.    But my only options for Broadband are wireless and satellite....wireless really since satellite is so awful at least here in rural Montana.  The Verizon Wireless is pretty good but expensive and I need an antenna on the roof connected to a signal booster and inside antenna to get decent 4G LTE.....

On 250mbit Cable, our limit is 1TB, and on 260mbit Fiber/whatever through the Telco, there is no limit.  Even before 4k Netflix and other 4k, we'd hit the limit on the cable, and usually do another 7 or 800gb on the Fiber connex.  One is for gaming, the other for home theater PCs/streaming/etc.  It doesn't take much when you have lots of time on your hands, especially streaming 4k.

We have a couple of Roku's, and enjoy them, but we just do not watch much television.  I spend a lot of my free time in my garage working on projects.

Besides the Cobra, I picked up a 64 Ford Ranchero Deluxe.  It is going to be my daily driver, once I get it all sorted out.
