Red dot gunsight
« on: February 09, 2017, 12:12:01 PM »
Anyone got a red dot gunsight to share,

I use one of the default single dot sights in the game but it is white, and blends in well with different areas of the sky and certain terrains.

Just a single dot, no other lines or markers on the sight.

I found a photo showing the reticle plate for the Italian Type A gunsight reticle, so here is a white and a red version just because red works better in AH3. I made a red dot just because. And updated the wirbel and osti reticles to red because it's easier to see on the fly.

Also there is a historical dot that was used by the tempest in the sights as one of the reticle shipped with the game.

Lazer mine is a circle not a dot:)

The green dot is an air to ground reference...also helps in aligning plane of motion when gunning a turning bandit.  Check it out here...

BW, did you remove some sights from your download?

Recently had to reinstall the game and I cant find one particular one I really liked.  Some of the other sights seem larger now too?

Is it possible the ones that seem larger are 512x512 I built and you now have the size control mil file in the sights directory with them? If it is, edit the same named mil file and the number 256, make it smaller in 16 or 32 increments until you get the result you want. If they are mine you can find out by right clicking on the file, properties, details. It should show you bustr or keith PC as the owner. And the one you really liked, is it something I made for someone years ago shared around that I might still have, or if you describe it I can probably reproduce it.

If I remember correctly, they all came from sights packs you have made over the years. I'm sure some were collected years (5-7) ago.
