     Heya Pipz,
As I have gotten older and my eyes slow get worse, I have switched to
diecast.  Mostly Hobby Master as their detail is excellent.  About 10 years
ago I picked up this one mostly because it had the same Euro One paintjob
as the 347th TFW I was in.

I was shocked to discover that they no longer manufacture it.  The E model
was the most produced variant made.  So naturally there are tons of Japanese
EJs and Israeli and Turk variants made. Naturally they are still in stock because
very few people want Turk F4s.

It just drives me nuts that this bird was very rare even when they did make it.
Oh well, at least I got one before they went the way of the Loch Ness monster :)

That looks cool! I have looked at die cast stuff and Hobby Master seems to be one of the manufactures that are on top. Excellent choice!

I count five Hobby Master USAF F4Es out there besides yours Glenn.  Two sand and spinach, one Euro 1, 1 Egypt 1 and 1 ADC Gray.  All look really nice.  All kinds of F4C and D now from Hobby Master in USAF markings.  Keep the faith :)

Weird, the only other one I've spotted was the grey bird from the 57th
FIS in Iceland.  Maybe I should try harder.  We did have spinach paint jobs
when I first arrived so that would be copacetic :)

Really missing the 1/48 scale planes from the old days, especially the B-24 and B-29.  Never could paint worth a damn and always managed to get that Testor's glue all over the canopy.  :bhead
