fixing hanger view for ships
« on: March 02, 2017, 06:17:14 AM »
Hiya htc,
any chance of fixing the hanger view of a custom task group, so that if you add a bb or 2 or a CA or 2 to keep the boats spread out on the black board so you can find all the guns? what we've found is that if the boats turn, in hanger view, they pile up on each other. we've tried a few things, including spreading the fleet out by 1 mile, but it doesn't seem to help. thanks for your consideration.

Since the flotilla always seems to sail in the same formation, can you just have the ships laid out as a static copy of that formation? If I wanted to man a gun on the destroyer in the right flank position of the Task Force (because it offers the best shots at incoming hostiles), which one would it be?

Exactly how it should be.  :aok

No need for the ships to move on the clipboard or the distance between them scaled.  Just put the ships at their default positions and all visible on the clipboard, please.

Ships do not all ways sail in the same formation, it is completely up to the terrain designer. Hence the OP request in the first place.

How about if they are pictured in the designer's default position then?  Don't understand why the ships need to move on (or off) the clipboard.

Hitech,

I have yet to update my terrain with a bbtg0 group you suggested at every port since no one would be able to use the chalk board to pick guns.

bustr it is already all fixed like my screen shot for the next release.

They simply line up left to right based on there ID I.E. F13SHP000 then F13SHP001 then F13SHP002 .....

Which is normally the order you added them to the terrain.

Because it runs into a height problem if the designer puts 3 ships in a column.

Thank you sir, I will update 9 bbtg0 to 9 ports with 9 additional map rooms and 9 hangers. Those out of the way places with the 9 map rooms are getting crowded now..... :O
