file attempting to download when reading a forum topic
« on: March 09, 2017, 05:21:54 PM »
For the last couple of days when I click on the Contrails for Bombers topic I have gotten a message that a file was downloaded to my computer. The file is: d9r3H4iHFZk.swf. Is this a problem? I have discarded it when it happens.

I think youtube videos are causing it. It happens on my work computer, but not my desktop.

That is it right there.  You can stop it by checking the "Show YouTube videos as a link." in your "Profile->Look and Layout" section.

Or, I can remove the Youtube plugin from the board which allows embedding the videos in posts.

Try clearing the cookie associated with the bulletin board.  Some browsers are just insane in hanging onto that data.

I think we just need to be rid of that plugin.  I think part of it is Youtube is getting ready to dump Flash completely, which would not hurt my feelings at all.
