Taskgroup Control
« on: March 15, 2017, 08:40:15 PM »
Rather then scrolling through the whole Taskgroup list, it would be best if the Taskgroup selection for setting waypoints matched your current base/taskgroup.

Thanks.
Easy in-game again.

I don't understand what you're asking for. Can you elaborate?  :huh

Sure.

Go to any taskgroup, say a taskgroup numbered 14. Pull up the 'Task Groups' dialog.
Note that taskgroup 14 isn't selected and high lighted. If there are more then a few taskgroups, ie 40, then you must scroll the whole list to get to the last half of the list.
Easy in-game again.

So if you're in the "tower" of a CV and open the task group list, you want to immediately be able to move the task force you're stationed in? This would be automatic rather than selecting the CV group to make course adjustments?

I would think it would be convenient if either the TG that you are at is either selected and moved to the top of the list, or the list is scrolled to highlight that selected TG.

I'm surprised I did not already do that.

Yeah, I figured that, but it doesn't work on my FE using DX11.

Not to worry, HiTech. A small detail, in an otherwise enormously intricate construct. +1 on the idea, btw.

Dam my fingers hurt from so much typing.

Field = tobjclntGetClientField(pcUserSettings.Location.Value);
if (Field->ClientTaskGroup != NULL)
{
   _CurrentTaskGroupField = pcUserSettings.Location.Value;
}

I.E. all done for the next patch

P.S. You  may be in trouble when a break from coding consists of writing the above code.

Currently down in the weeds with cloud octet trees.

This post was entertaining and satisfying at same time haha. I'm kind of excited for the next patch now.
