Graphical glitches in Film Viewer?
« on: March 16, 2017, 05:01:10 PM »
Hey everyone.

I decided to try out the Film Viewer. It's pretty nice and I wanted to get some nice camera shots set up for some runs on tanks in my IL-2. However, I'll set up my camera and everything in the spot I want it but even in the first second of the film there will be the explosion effects of my rockets at the impact spots even though I will not have fired them until much later in the film.

I think I know the problem but I haven't been able to really figure it out. To me it seems that the program gets confused when you fast-forward or jump suddenly to a different time in the film, and the explosions happen even though the plane is no where near the area. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thank you.

effects will only happen once per play. Hitting "Stop" will reset everything. Review your film and note the time of the part you want to capture. Reset the film and drag the slider to the closest moment before that spot you want. Once the film jumps to the spot, play it until you reach the precise moment (remember to use the play speed slider). Then set up your camera position, enter full screen and capture your screenshot.

A bit of warning: since AH3 went live the film view does not work properly after returning from full screen mode and requires a full restart to use full screen again.
