TrackIR Snapping Views on Pan
« on: March 25, 2017, 01:38:20 AM »
Been playing around and all ac seems to snap into views when using track IR this is while DM Pan is on as well,
is there any way to get the full 6DOF of TrackIR working on the game for us guys that use it??  Also Oculus may be doing the same thing.
Get VoiceBot and Use Speech for game commands
www.voicebot.net
AutoHotkey and Software repo maps etc for AHIII

I have a very good experience with Trackir.

I am not sure what you mean by snapping into views and have no idea what DM Pan is.

Yes, Trackir and Oculus deliver 6DOF.  Happy to get you on vox in game so you can translate your problem into English

Select "Default to Instant View" in clipboard view options.

have tried that, along with track ir relative view , amd pressing f8, it still snaps for looking forward left right etc

what i mean by snapping is that when you would normally view from your hat switch is the views i get using trackIR.

With TrackIR running and not paused, using the hat switch will snap your view. This is normal. While holding the hat switch in the rear view position for example, you should be able to move your head and TrackIR will smoothly move your view while moving your head. This is how mine works in AHIII.

If you pause your TrackIR and have pan view selected, using the hat on the stick will pan your views. This is normal.

TrackIR does work somewhat differently in AHIII than it did in AHII.

Try F9. Pan view, F8, is for panning the key press views.

Was this ever solved?

I'm a Track IR user too, have been for almost a year.  Last night, my views in TIR started doing what the OP was talking about - when I turned my head, it behaved like I was using the hat switch and would not track with my slow movement but then snap about 45 degrees.  I didn't play around with it much - fixed it by restarting both the game and Track IR.   I had been flying a group of bombers, had been jumping from position to position and plane to plane, and IIRC all three planes were shot out from under me. Dunno how that would make a difference but its really rare that I fly buffs.

If you press F7 you'll get snap views. F9 resets instant views.
