Leave adding FPS to Battlefield 1942 types of games. I'm thinking more strategic units.

G.55 would be a great choice for a new fighter.

- It's Italian, so it adds to a very needy plane set.
- It's got competitive performance and guns, so it will get used.
- It's badass and chicks dig it.
- It's not too uber like some retarded jet, which we need like a server crash.

I concur.  I've been waiting for a French D.520 but it looks like that's not going to happen, so a G.55 would be a good consolation prize.

What could have been....

You forgot to mention:
- It's packing two wing-mounted cannons, two machine guns in the cowling, and a cannon through the hub.
- It can carry a torpedo on the centerline mount.
- It comes in a variety of paint schemes.
- It can carry a torpedo.  A torpedo!

J2M

and a B-17F to have an earlier model 17 but mostly because I like the cleaner nose and tail lines

Some later model razorback P47's would be cool too
The real problem is anyone should feel like they can come to this forum and make a wish without being treated in a derogatory manner.  The only discussion should be centered around whether it would work, or how it would work and so on always in a respectful manner.

Agreed on the Beaufighter.  Probably the most significant omission in the plane set considering it's wide variety of uses as well as all the theaters of the war it flew combat in.  RAF, RNZAF, RAAF, USAAF etc all used it from theCBI to the PTO to North Africa to the MTO to the ETO

For fun and because it could be used in any number of scenarios flying for any number of countries, I'd like to see the P-36/Hawk75/Mohawk.  Still flying combat in the CBI in 44

And if there is any chance of adding variants to existing planes, I'd really like to see a 109E-7 with the ability to carry a drop tank or bomb along with that little extra urge from the higher powered engine.  For North Africa or early Russian Front stuff or Balkans it would be a welcome addition as the 109E we have doesn't really adapt to the role since it can't carry a DT or bomb.

And as long as we're wishing.  How bout a solid nosed Ju-88C with the forward firing cannon and mg?

And lastly how bout combining the B-25H and the glass nose of the C and getting us a glass nose J model for the late war ETO/PTO/MTO/CBI etc? :)

Oy.  Always with the drop tanks.  Probably you should see someone about that.
