Jordi took the last one, but . . .

1.  There is a chance his computer setup won't handle AH3, in which case he will unregister.

2.  If we get more bomber pilots, I will see if we can broker a deal for more B-17's and more 190's.

Mr. Dragon,
That is the game plan from what I understand.
Numbers have been in the potty for a long time, all of a sudden there are lots of people who actually are requesting bombers. Who would have thought that?
Side CO's discussing more 190's for more bombers. Win Win for everyone. (Leave the lead bomber alone, it may be the bomber CO.)  :D

Hold the phone.  Don't forget more escorts if we are increasing numbers.  I can fill more 38 seats :)

In the P-38, don't you have to fill more seats?

Trading more bombers for more LW fighters can't happen without additional escort added as well.  You know as well as I Brooke how it will play out, and throwing the fighter v fighter numbers even more off will just lead to less and less bombers each frame.

Trading more bombers for . . .

I think we are OK because of the following.

We added 2 B-17 formations and 1 FW 190 aircraft.

First is that +/- one axis fighter isn't going to alter the outcome of a scenario.  Even natural variability in staffing frame to frame is statistically much greater than +/- 1 aircraft.

Second, historically, fighter:fighter BOG was 0.82, DGS was 0.84, DGSII was 0.8.  We are at 0.8 -- in line with those.

Third, define "excess fighters" = (number of enemy fighters) - (number of allied fighters).  If every allied fighter tied up an axis fighter, excess fighters is how many would be left over to go after bombers -- it is one metric among several I look at in balance for a design.  Historically, (excess fighters)/(bomber formations) was 0.59 for BOG, 0.57 for DGS, and 0.74 for DGSII.  We are currently at 0.56 -- in line with BOG and DGS, and significantly lower than DGSII.

In summary, +/- one aircraft is not of great significance to outcome, and both fighters:fighters and (excess fighters):bombers are in line with past 8th AF scenarios.

Now we need fighter guys to get moving on filling our fighters.

Each side has plenty of fighters left to fill.
