Nope. Icepuck will launch an LVT and sit outside a town for hours repeatedly typing on country channel that he has troops at such and such a field and just needs every other player to take the town down for him. The icons are fine.
I used to be the guy who flattened and prepped a field for taking but it seems that most attacks forget to bring troops so I adjusted my game.
Bringing troops any further than a local EZspawn is pretty low on the priority list of most here and is a lot of work.
When I see a cv needlessly sacrificed by being driven 10 sectors just to stop a half mile from being able to drop lvt for trooping, I wait until it has been sunk and move it into position to get out an LVT before it respawns.
I'm assuming my country wants that field if they send a cv there 27 times in a row.
The topic was about friendly MAP on the clipboard showing GV icons no matter where they are and the way it is abused by some to find GVs that are in places thought impossible to drive to........where nobody would be looking.
A large part of strategy and tactics is stealth and I believe having these icons is removing it.
Stealth was used in the real war......why squash it here?
Aren't we trying to embrace realism and immersion?
