I "think" I was party to an enemy pilot using a second account to keep track of enemy vehicles. I was trying to leave the combat area in a wirble from a botched capture attempt. So I started heading out for the 6000yd distance to get a safe landing. The first and second time the same player found my wirble in the trees and I shot him down, I figured I was making it too easy to predict my path. It was the third and fourth times he found my wirble by flying directly to it, and I was far enough from the field his plane on zoom couldn't see me in the trees. And I began changing my course and purposely driving into thick trees. And no, my wirble's gun was intact so he had no smoke plum to follow.
Yes if Hitech had not implemented friendly GV icons, that dork would not have been able to fly a direct line to my wirble hiding in trees 5000yds or more from his airfield. It was most obvious when he knew which direction I had turned 90 degrees driving through thick trees on his last sortie and flew directly to that location.
I didn't get as mad as icepac, but, it was obvious GV icons were not a good idea.
