18 minutes fighting under a perch
« on: May 21, 2017, 12:49:14 PM »
Thought for sure a Ki-84 could out turn a C.202, especially with a true ace at the controls.  Or maybe my plane has an A6M icon.    :noid

Technically he did out-turn you. That reversal is never going to work against someone who spends his days managing overshoots. I'm wondering why, when it didn't work for the first say five times, you didn't consider employing a different tactic?

What tactic should I have used.  Out run him?

Ah, sarcasm. So for the second time in one week I have to ask film-posters what their purpose was. Were you hoping for exclusively moral support at being ravaged for 18 minutes by the lametard who wouldn't fight your fight? And to compliment you on flying inferior aircraft as a service to the community? I suggested to you before flying inferioir planes has disadvantages as well as advantages.

Who do you think was the more skilful flyer and by how much of a margin?

You've already made up your mind before seeing the film.   What is your reason for posting here?

You've already made up your mind before seeing the film.

Yes indeed, I am a completely prejudicial cad and bounder who has ruined your innocent thread posted in the proper Help & Training forum entitled: "How can I counter this 1-on-1 tactic which I don't understand yet am not at all resentful of?".

You don't have an alternative tactic or selection of ACM to apply in this situation do you? Do you even recognize how skillfully Ahiru put you in exactly the position he wanted, with patience, discipline, an adaptive technique and a knowledge of the relationship between angles and energy which you don't have? Do you understand the mechanism of what he was doing, how it worked and where he was vulnerable?

A more condensed and pointed treatise on the proper application of BnZ you'd be hard-pressed to find. Instead of taking this as a learning opportunity or even asking for technical help with that you instead come hear looking for endorsement.

What is your reason for posting here?

Torturing the disingenuous?

It was such a skillful display that it took 18 him minutes and about 30 attempts to work.

Your torture is about as effective.

He could've dropped on your six and stayed there at his leisure and you couldn't have done anthing about it except burn up your energy for no return. Perhaps he was simply enjoying playing with his squeaky toy.

No sense, no feeling.

This comment is unnecessary and not an answer to the question asked. Nrshida, you should apologize for escalating this into an argument. And if I was to determine who was the better flyer, I vote for caldera.

And had he asked a question I would not have attacked.

Nrshida, you should apologize for escalating this into an argument.

What argument? His position is indefensible.

You want me to apologise for blowing the whistle on a public, resentful, covert-criticism of another player’s unwillingness to engage in a fight which would unfairly favour the OP, who has inferior ACM and masks that beneath an inferior aircraft choice pretending to be less lame than the other player in this engagement while at the same time being too prideful to actually put his self-image aside and learn?

And if I was to determine who was the better flyer, I vote for caldera.

On what grounds? One ineffective and predictable reversal repeated endlessly and ineffectively without variation? Because the other player flew pure BnZ and that’s automatically lame?

You seem like a decent chap Kenne. If it's any explanation to you some people just irritate me into Prak mode.

prat. he did ask a question. 'what tactic should I have used..out run him?'  looks like a question to me.
the 84 is making repeated attacks for no result. appears the 84 pilot needs practice not the 202.

No, Prak.

On the surface. You don't think the title of the thread, the title of the film, the sarcastic use of the term 'true ace', the fact the film is not posted in Help & Training and the underlying implication of the lameness of Ahiru and Caldera's previous reaction to criticism is suggestive? I do.

Repeated attacks you say? I see quite a different flow in the fight. Ahiru's technique is purely BnZ-based. That is unconnected to his plane preference. It is what he considers to be his art. As long as players choose to implicate some level of gheyness to the BnZ proponent, instead of learning to understand the technique, they are doomed to suffer from it. If you make that easier, lazier, arrogant-ignorant choice, then don't come to the forums whining about it, exclusively expecting an ego stroke.

of course you do, you must take this POV to create the illusion of being offended.

the fact that I am coming into this thread fresh means I have no prejudices to justify. your escalation of this into an argument would indicate you have.

gheyness
this speaks volumes about you.
