From my frame 1 (where my aim was poo).

Bombers inbound!

Blasting one.

Zooming out after run.

Getting flushed out by dastardly American P-38J.

Some other attacks underway.

Trying to flush out some escort.

Getting shot up by a P-47 after going for a P-38.

Bombers, 2nd mission.

Hitting a P-38 escort.

Not liking these three P-51's.

Totally blowing my shot on a P-47 down low.

Big Week is open to everyone.

If you want to play, just show up by 3 pm Eastern in Special Events 2 arena on the next 3 Saturdays.

It is classic US 8th Air Force strategic bombing vs. Luftwaffe over Germany in early 1944.

P-47's, P-38's, P-51B's, B-17's vs. 109G's and 190A's.

Allied After Action Report
A. Combat
B. June 3, 2017
C. 354th Fighter Group
D. Approximately 1640
E. Between Hanover and Brunswick
F. Awesome
G. FW190A-5
H. [1] FW190 Destroyed in air to air combat.

I. I was the group lead on a bomber escort mission to bomb factories in the Brunswick area.

As the bomber formation continued towards target, calls rang out that high FW190s and BF109s were on top of the bomber formation and closing fast. They were able to make several passes by the time our fighters engaged. I turned my P-51B to the port side to see an FW190 too far below the bomber formation to attack it.

I rolled in and dove on the FW190 and pursued it to the deck.

I closed to about 200 yards and began to fire. I had several hits in the tails section, but the Nazi pilot was a very good stick and went evasive.

He banked and turned feverishly to avoid my fire. I began to get the range and connected with my 50 cal.

The last burst hit into the fuselage fuel tank. He was now trailing fuel.

I got a line great line on a deflection shot and hit him in the fuselage near the canopy and left wing root.

That shot lit him up like a Christmas Tree.

Finally, my 50 cal fire lit the fuel tank a blaze and the FW190 was all but done.

The Luftwaffe interceptor began to roll in towards the ground and...

BOOM! It was all over.

I finished the days escort mission with three kills and one assist.

:salute Loki

Well done Allies and good fight Luftwaffe. See you guys on next Saturday.

Really? Wow.

It seems to me that if people were really enjoying an event, and wanted more participation from the community, they would be posting in open forums that the community can view.

But what would I know, I don't have data to support my conclusion.

Look back thru the forums, events generally generate a good amount of interest by posting AAR's and such on the general forum.

This is the ONLY event I've ever seen run where the general scenario thread has been hidden.

Someone appears to be truly moronic on that decision.

I can see the general scenario forum, and I am not participating in it, it's not hidden to me...  :headscratch:

I'm assuming he means <scenario> general

so Bigweek General.

The general forum specific to the scenario.

We are enjoying the event. I had a great time and our group of 38s did well. Action happens pretty quickly and both sides air spawn.

Thank you for the correction.

Fear not:
-- We just finished only frame 1.
-- I just finished getting my screenshots at about 1 am last night, which is why:
-- This topic is only about 12 hours old.

I know it's hard to wait more hours for more to be posted here, given your great interest in Big Week screenshots, but we'll see what we can do.  ;)
