Hitech said once that if he changed something to be able to take more than ten troops then he would also make it so that it took more than ten troops to take a base. This probably falls into the same category.

So is the M3, despite of armor and gun. Survival chances for M3's are very slim once spotted and engaged.
In a combat zone (troops and town supps), speed is everything. You don't fight your way in, you sneak in, as fast as possible. That's why you also almost never see any SdKfz in this role, even though they are more sturdy than the m3. Carrying twice the load would make the truck much more faster / efficient than the M3.

It would be an easy kill plus easier to spot. So I think that would keep the M3 in play. But for a rush to resup a HQ the 2 1/2 would be great.

What about this?  Remove the supplies from the M3, leaving just troops.  Have the Deuce do all the supplying and give it 2 field sups and 2x v-sups.  Add a depot on base and in town to resup each of these.  Head to town depot, resup only town, even it was in the middle of the base, and vice-versa.

How about trucks to resup strats with a load equal to 1.5 m3 payload, M3 to troop and sup fields?
