20mm Hizooka Round
« on: June 08, 2017, 12:13:32 AM »
Literally OP as hell as War Thunder has theirs set. Don't believe me....https://youtu.be/YA91f8absCw?t=26

https://youtu.be/XGvhTnWl5qI?t=16

And the 50 cals just ping away like BB rounds. Can't even stress how I see this every time I get hit by it, catastrophic damage like a tank shell hit me.

Are you trying to say that the 20mm Hispano rounds are over powered in AH compared to War Thunders' modeling of the 20mm round?

I don't see how you can make the assertion that the 20mm is more over-modeled in AH by comparing it to the 20mm in WT.

It is a pretty hot round. Both in muzzle velocity and projectile mass.

AFAIK nothing in WT is even remotely realistic so comparing with them is quite pointless.

Anyone noticed the second film they are using what looks like a SpeedTree fall clutter set while the terrain polygon mesh may be the same as ours since the roundish shape of the mountains is to smooth out the problems with smaller features that he mesh is to large for. Their water in that lake is the same as ours. The first film looks like they are doing a repeating overlay derived from an aerial photo with SpeedTree clutter applied to it. The first film reminds me of IL2 and not WT which is stuffed into a tiny arena, and the terrain has that xBox look when you get down close to the ground like the second film. The clouds create the dramatic look to everything in the second film. The hizookas in that P51-A1 are over modeled compared to the hizoo in our game. And the first film, the damage looks about right with the same problems with pilot accuracy we have in our game and the real pilots had in WW2.

Banging away at a wing panel with 50cal that does not have a fuel tank or ammo stores just punches holes because it's a thin sheet aluminum box. You notice it was the second HE 20mm round later that caused the wing structure to fail and rip off.
