I imagine they were planning on him running into the building.

I'm really surprised he was getting that close to the building when it's not needed.
No matter how good you are, why tempt fate. Just takes one strong gust or a sneaky slow drift.

Glad they were all okay.

Yea he did not need to bring the chopper that close to the building. Did he forgot about the blades running above him? It must have been.

Dang.....yanked the transmission right out of it.

Those are some fat blades.........maybe shorter?

If shorter, I guess the pilot thought they were even shorter than they were.

Love the look of the AH-1, especially before the USMC uglied up her lines with twin engines.  Sucks about the crash
The real problem is anyone should feel like they can come to this forum and make a wish without being treated in a derogatory manner.  The only discussion should be centered around whether it would work, or how it would work and so on always in a respectful manner.

I disagree, the Whiskey is the most badass looking chopper on the planet.

I saw a flight of AH-1Zs and whatever the latest model of the UH-1 is at Louisville International Airport.  Most of the Cobras left, but the AH-1Z and twin-engined Huey stayed.  Looked modern and sleek in the grey paint.
Currently ignoring Vraciu as he is a whoopeeed retard.
