Hi all

I am a Warbirds pilot checking out other flight simulators. What do you guys think about the reality and historical accuracy of
the planes modeled in Aces High?

Salute to all Aces High Pilots!

lol

theyre as good as ht can make them without tellin anyone what data is used to do it.  :D

this results in huge long threads about from experienced cessna pilots and the feel prinicple of  'was it good for you'.  ;)

till someone pubs the math of the flight model specs for all the real experts on here to check out then no amount of postin will prove anything.

don't think ah is bout to give up secrets theyve built up over years of reserch.

I think the best way is for you to forgo the debate and try AH out for yourself.  :)

Give yourself some time to get used to the differences before you decide though... different doesn't necessarily = bad or not realistic.  Now both of these things were originally written by HiTech (both Warbirds and Aces High) with flight data input from Pyro, so they should be, and are in my experience, very similar flight models in many ways.

Give your 2 week trial a run and see what you think.  :)

These FMs are worth trying.  Everything else after that is user determined.

The planes contrast each other in flight performance very nicely. That is the most important thing to me. When you choose a specific plane you are getting a distictive package of fire power and robustness and visibliity and handling.
Are they accurate?
I dont know. They have the flavour of their namesakes and thats all I have the ability to judge.
As a game the important thing is that they be distinctive.
