Ditching Failed in Water

I tried to Ditch my F4U-4 yesterday in the water and got killed instantly. I was really slow with all my flaps down. It was on the baltic map by the way. I've ditched in the water before and had no problem doing so. So I guess this might be a bug.

This seems to be a constant bug after an update.  They fix it then they break it.
