Photobucket
« on: June 30, 2017, 12:09:12 AM »
With all my postings on these forums Photobucket has locked every image I have posted and my account unless I pay $400.00. To unlock services to post on a third party.

Just a heads up for those who use the service.

Apparently photobucket has started some kind of account system I can't see the photos posted and I keep getting (attachment)  Please update your account to enable 3rd party hosting. For important info, please go to Photobucket.com/P500 on all posts.

I read Hobomamas post and someone that goes by Ngan Ha moved all 5000 photos from Photomuck to Flickr.

If you're really pissed off about this you could always start a new service yourself. Photobucket started off with meager assets and have grown to more than $15 million in venture capital.
If you like the Sick Puppy Custom Sound Pack the please consider contributing for future updates by sending a months dues to Hitech Creations for account "Chalenge." Every little bit helps.

Hope they invested wisely because they're going to be worth 15 cents very soon.

I've been using photobucket forever, I've been tempted to try the paid service just to see how it is... The App on my phone works great, the PC version is bad with popups and adverts.
There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!

I found out about this this morning when I tried to post a screenshot on another forum.  Like Nef, I've been using Photobucket for years, ever since attachments were no longer allowed on these forums.  However, I am retired and will definitely not be paying $399 but will look for an alternative hosting site.     :furious

Anybody remember the Aces High Picture Hosting site?

I can't remember who ran it, the name escapes me at the moment, but I had that before Photobucket! This was like 2003/2004... When it finally closed up I went to photobucket.
