This is my '99'. I still drive this one when ever I can. Nobody else does as Im the only one in the family that likes to drive a stick.

I cut the convertible loose in 2015 and while I loved driving it, I've only really missed it a few days when the weather was just so.  Other than that, the GT's been great.  I replaced the factory lower control arms after getting it home from the dealer and a new tires this summer on the rear is it since new in 2014.

Now the Corvette is up for sale because the wife says we need an airplane more than we need a boat.  Okay.

They never made a Mustang I didnt love. Yankee sports cars and trucks are all thats keeping US automakers afloat. The Mustang and F-150 are Fords signature brands.

Speaking of Fords/Mustangs/F150s - saw both a 2006 Ford GT and one of the new GTs this spring/summer at the Calgary car show.  Pretty amazing car with the EcoBoost(ish) V6 in the new one.  The first time I drove an EcoBoost vehicle was testing one of the Flex square looking things for my father - pretty great power, and now the Raptor equipped one is putting out more power than the previous V8 motor.

A fun project would be to pick up a used 4cyl Ecoboost Mustang and tune that up, one of my loves was an 80s Mustang that was a 4cyl turbo.  It put out 175 HP, the new one stock is nearly double that.  There are lots around here in the $20k range with the Ecoboost performance option, and adding another $10kCDN for a Borg-Warner turbocharger, a bigger intercooler, and a Cobb Accessport used to flash the ECU, and some other easy mods will yield a car putting 500hp to the rear wheels.

Great swap into a ford ranger.

One of the guys in our local Falcon club is shoe-horning a 3.5 V6 Ecoboost into his 65 Falcon.  At 2500 pounds, sopping wet, it should be a fun ride.  With 375HP and 470 ft/lbs of torque, I told him he better be adding more metal to the frame lest he twist the car in half the first time he floors it.

I really wish ford had released a car in the US based on the falcon platform or used the mustang platform for an australian falcon.

Then it would be easy to put together a left hand drive version of this 420hp turbo inline six powered ute.
