I'm surprised to see this one updated before the A-20G/Boston III, but it looks nice and I promise to fly it at least once in the MA.

Nice to see work-in-progress shots, too - thank you HTC!

Best fighter in the game.
I fondly remember shooting down a P-47N using a D3A.

I once managed to shoot down an Il-2 in a D3A. Had to plink away for a felt half an hour   :joystick:  The Sturmovik probably died of boredom :old:

I do... got shot down in a burning Val hulk screaming like a school child all the way down from 15'000ft.

It could turn, but man, even with a good tailgunner the lifespan of one of those bombers with a P-40 or a F4F on your six is around 30 seconds.

Back in warbirds, they had AI formations of D3A that flew around bombing fields and I remember seeing guys go after them.

It was a hoot to join the formation in your own D3A and wait for someone to come along to blast the defenseless planes out of the sky.

When he shows up, you slowly break off and circle around behind him or simply throttle back while he's busy shooting fish in a barrel.

Manning the guns on AI bombers was also fun in warbirds.

Same here, but then I took a look and made a mental checklist of what's left:

a20g/boston
tempest
ar234b
me163
b5n

Daaaaaang! They've actually made a lot of progress and there really aren't many obsolete ones left.

Ki.67 and Ju88 still need updating, IIRC.  But yeah, gettin' down there.  Really looking forward to the re-do of the A-20s.  And the Ju88.    Ki.67 still sees action in the MA, so that's a good one too.

We've seen 8 updated models since the AH3 beta. Not bad for a year's work.  :aok
