fill out the Italian set
« on: August 04, 2017, 02:48:27 PM »
C.200 Saetta: Early war fighter with bb guns.  1,100 produced.   Guaranteed to pwn Spit XVIs and even Yak XVIs.

Fiat G.55 Centauro: Mid war fighter with late war firepower.  The bestest Italian plane of the war.

SM.79 Sparviero: Iconic tri-motor bombers.  The scourge of the Med, armed with torpedoes or bombs.
"Then out spake brave Horatius, the Captain of the gate:
To every man upon this earth, death cometh soon or late.
And how can man die better, than facing fearful odds.
For the ashes of his fathers and the temples of his Gods."

Skins for thhe 'Italian patch'

Toss in an Italian tank.

(Then it'd be nice to see a Yamato Class battleship - along with some Japanese air balance.)

Am I reading about the wrong plane? Macchi C.200: 870 hp 14-cylinder air-cooled radial engine?

Spitfire Mk XVI would smack it around like a red-headed step child.  C.200 had it's hands full against the Hurricane and Gladiator (first C.200 lost in combat was from a Gladiator).

I'd especially like to see the SM.79 in the game.   Useful for scenarios and what a great look.

Guess the sarcasm wasn't obvious enough.

Don't forget the CR 42. She was a biplane, but had a 12 to 1 kill ratio on the Russian front at first of war.

Horse drawn carts had 12:1 kill ratio on the Russian front at the beggining of the war...

It took a while till the Yak and La mosters showed up. From the Russo-Japanese war to WWII the Russian army is notoriously slow in getting into momentuum.
